Qualified   Scientist with hands on experience, 2008 to date working as an Assistant Researcher and Assistant lecturer at KALRO Njoro and Egerton University.


·           September 2014 to date: Assistant lecturer  Egerton University, P.O. Box 536(20115), Kenya .  Lecturing of students in Biological Science Department, setting and marking of examination.

·           July 2011 To date: Research Assistant (Contract) in Pathology and Breeding Section, Kenya  Agricultural Research Institute-Njoro, P.O. Private Bag Njoro, KENYA Carrying out pathology work which includes collection of rust inoculum, preparation and inoculation in the green house and field for seedling and adult plant screening of rusts genotypes, and assisting in rusts DNA extraction in molecular lab. Involved in notes taking, preparation of excel books for data collection and entering collected data in the work sheets. Involved in crossing blocks for generation of F1 genotypes which are advanced until the preliminary yield trials.

·           2008 to 2010: Assistant Researcher (Contract): Kenya Agricultural Research Institute, National Plant Breeding Research Centre, P O Box Njoro – 20107, Njoro, KENYA.Carrying out molecular laboratory work which includes DNA extraction, PCR procedures and Gel Electrophoreses. Involved in sweet potato breeding in the field, breeders seed initiation in the laboratory, clonal work in the green house and maintenance of clones on the field.
